What to wear to a Fetish/BDSM/Alternative party

« Blog

We appreciate that it is much easier to dress for a fetish event as a woman than a man and although we don’t want to be too controlling over dress code we do ask that you dress to impress

Choosing what to wear for any night out can mean a minefield of insecurities and indecisions but adding in the fetish factor can make it exponentially worse! Do you dress up, dress down? Do you finish work and change into something a little more comfortable or a little less comfortable?

To be honest, this is a very individual thing, not everyone feels comfortable or confident in full-blown fetish get up but also not everyone wants a night on the scene to have the same dress code as a regular Friday down the local meat market.

It is very important to make sure you have checked the dress code for the club you are attending and also the specific party night as some parties will have different rules or extensions to the rules set by the club itself. Most clubs will have some of the same rules such as no tracksuits or trainers, some will only permit nudity in certain areas so if the costume you plan to wear leaves little to the imagination you may want to take something to cover you in bar areas.

Now that you have checked the rules, consider your role. Dominants and subs may want to dress for their role and these outfits would consist of very different looks and items. Decide if you plan to wear fetish clothing or regular clothes if you're uncomfortable in leather and PVC maybe go down the steampunk or goth routes and pick something with a bit of Victoriana flare or demonic decadence.

Even if you are dead set against dressing up and don't want to feel like you are wearing a costume, you can still get into the swing by wearing colours that suit the event such as black, red and purple.

We don’t expect everyone who attends to choose to be in fetish attire but it is welcomed. If you would prefer to wear ‘regular’ clothes then please keep it smart.

No sports clothes, jeans, trainers, tracksuits, work wear or hoodies. If you are unsure please contact us here or on social media and we will be happy to help. Make an effort!
